On May 2, 2025, Cube Entertainment unveiled a new chapter for K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, rebranding them as I-dle to reflect their original Korean pronunciation, “아이들.” The change symbolizes the group’s roots and their ambition to connect authentically with global fans as they mark their 7th anniversary.

To celebrate this milestone, I-dle released a special mini-album, We Are I-dle, featuring re-recorded versions of nine iconic singles, performed by the current five-member lineup: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The album serves as a gift to fans, bridging the group’s past hits with their present unity.

Adding to the excitement, I-dle is gearing up for their eighth Korean EP, We Are, set for release on May 19. The album, boasting six tracks, promises a bold evolution. Ahead of the EP, the group released their pre-release single ‘Girlfriend’ on May 8, showcasing a mature, confident vibe that has fans buzzing.
