SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) is set to light up Japan’s four major domes later this year with their upcoming world tour.
PLEDIS Entertainment announced on the 23rd that the group will kick off their “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN” at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 27, 29, and 30. The tour will continue at Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 4, 6, and 7, followed by Tokyo Dome on December 11 and 12. They’ll wrap up the Japan leg of their tour at Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 20 and 21.
This tour, titled “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]”, captures the group’s determination to take on new challenges and push their limits. The journey begins with a spectacular opening show at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13 and 14, before the group embarks on their international schedule. Fans around the world can look forward to SEVENTEEN’s signature high-energy performances and unparalleled stage presence.
The group’s popularity in Japan is undeniable. Their fifth studio album, “HAPPY BURSTDAY”, released in May, swept the Oricon Weekly Album, Combined Album, and Digital Album charts upon release. It also secured the highest ranking for a foreign artist on Oricon’s mid-year album charts. As of May, the album has sold over 500,000 copies in Japan, earning a Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
SEVENTEEN is also making waves through collaborations with popular Japanese brands and characters. They recently partnered with art toy giant MEDICOM TOY to release a special BE@RBRICK collection, with members directly involved in the design process to showcase their individual personalities. Their collaboration with Sanrio, featuring SEVENTEEN-themed versions of beloved characters, has also been met with an enthusiastic response from fans both in Japan and globally.
