Ateez has been nominated for the first time at the American Music Awards (AMA) in the Favorite K-pop Artist category. The 2025 ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 26 in Las Vegas, with Jennifer Lopez as the host.

Other nominees in the same category include BTS’s Jimin and RM, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and Stray Kids. The winners will be determined by fan voting through the AMA’s official website and platforms.

Since their debut in 2018, Ateez has released multiple charting singles, including “Wave,” “Déjà Vu,” “The Real,” “Crazy Form,” and “Work.” In 2024, the group became the first K-pop boy group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Their 10th mini album Golden Hour: Part 1, released in 2024, recorded 250,000 CD sales in the United States, ranking 4th in annual U.S. CD sales.

Ateez is set to begin their “IN YOUR FANTASY” world tour with performances on July 5 and 6 at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. The tour will continue across South Korea, North America, and Japan.

This nomination marks Ateez’s entry into a major U.S. music awards show, reflecting the group’s rising visibility in the global market.
